Safeguarding you and your family’s personal information is something we take very seriously at Qualitas Insurance Company. Our policy is to maintain appropriate confidentiality with regard to all personal information obtained in the course of doing business with you. The Privacy Policy stated below includes examples of the types of nonpublic personal information we collect. Our Privacy Principals
- We do not sell customer information, so there is no need to “opt out”.
- We do not disclose customer information except as necessary or appropriate to provide insurance products and services, and as otherwise required by law.
- We do not allow those who are doing business on our behalf to use our customer information for their own marketing purposes.
- We afford our prospective and former customers the same protections as existing customers with respect to the use of personal information.

Categories of Information We May Collect
Personal Information - Qualitas Insurance Company only collects personal information about you when it is necessary to conduct the business of insurance. We limit the collection of personal information to what we reasonably believe is needed to service your account. Qualitas insurance Company may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Personal information you share with us directly or through your broker or agent, such as the information on your insurance application, a policy change request, or any other forms you may complete.
- Personal information you provide or which is being obtained through the process of handling a claim, including medical information, such as from an accident report.
- Personal information about you from your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as the number of years you have been a policyholder with an insurance company or the types of coverage you purchase.
- Personal information about you from a consumer reporting agency, such as a Credit Report or a Motor Vehicle Report.
Technical Information - In addition to personal information, we may also collect certain technical information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. The servers on which our website (the “Site”) is hosted may gather certain information about how you access the website in several ways. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include your computer’s media access control (“MAC”) address, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, operating system, and web browser type, as well as the Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") of the website that you just came from and the URL of the website you go to next. How We Use the Information We Collect

Information We May Disclose and to Whom We May Disclose Information
- Affiliates - California law allows us to share your nonpublic personal information with our corporate parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, to market products or services to you and for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy. You cannot prevent these disclosures.
- Service providers - Information gathered on behalf of Qualitas Insurance Company may be disclosed to parties performing certain services on our behalf. These services may include fulfilling orders, providing customer service and marketing assistance, performing business and sales analysis, ad tracking and analytics, supporting our service or website functionality, and supporting surveys and other interactive features.
- Legal Compliance - We may share information, including nonpublic personal information, in response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from insurance regulators or a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
- Fraud Prevention - We may share information, including nonpublic personal information, when we believe disclosure is appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing; to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, our employees, or others; to comply with applicable law or cooperate with law enforcement; or to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements or policies.
- Aggregated and/or Non-Personal Information – We may use and share non-personal, de-identified, pseudonymous, or aggregated information we collect under any of the above circumstances for solely internal purposes, such as internal analytics and product improvement.
- Business transfers - We may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our business or assets, including nonpublic personal information, in connection with a business transaction (or potential business transaction) such as a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy or dissolution.
Access and Correction of Nonpublic Personal Information
We do not sell your information to any third parties. However, you have the right to access the nonpublic personal information we maintain about you in our records and to be advised to whom, if anyone, we have disclosed the personal information within two years of the date of your request. Your request should include your name address, policy number, and a description of the data you wish to review. We will respond within 30 days of receipt of your written request. Should you find any errors, you may send us a written request for correction, amendment or deletion of the incorrect information. We will act on your request within 30 days of receipt. If we correct, amend, or delete the information we will notify you in writing and any person designated by you that has received the personal information within the preceding two years and any person or organization that provided the personal information. If we do not correct, amend or delete the personal information, you have the right to file a concise statement of what you believe is the correct statement and the reasons you disagree with our decision not to correct, amend, or delete the personal information. We will put your statement in your file so that anyone reviewing your file will see it, and we will include your statement with the personal information and any future disclosures by us.
Our Security Procedures
Qualitas Insurance Company restricts access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees whom we determine have a legitimate business purpose to access such information in connection with the provision of products or service to you. We employ reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security controls designed to protect our customer data.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes to this privacy notice, we will post the updated notice on the Website and update the notice’s effective date. Your continued use of our Website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
